After a turn of 180 degrees, here I am, living and working at D.F. for Novell Ximian.





I move down here last thursday with my uncle Tono and my aunt Lupita, And I will live there for at least one month, I must look for a nice and cheap apartment or maybe look for someone who would like to share his or her apartment with a nice, good looking, handsome and cool linux geek :D.

Yeap, at last the web site of the 4to Festival GNU/Linux y Software Libre has been released, since I do not have enough time to spend on the develop of the web page by hand like the old days, I leave the job to my friend Levitha. And he have done a very good job on it, of course he is smarter than me and he didn't write all the code by hand, he have installed a CMS, and modified only some sections. Also I keep working on the yacomas implementation and customization.

This time the FSL will be in Puerto Vallarta. :D



We are talking with different international speakers to ask if they could attend to the FSL.

So we have just finish with the site today, and we are calling to all people interested to attent to the FSL.

We are pretty sure that this FSL will be very cool.

Today I have released the GLO Counter, an effort of the Grupo Linux de Occidente to have all the free software community at the west side of the country together, and make feel the people part of it.

Yeap, I'm finally in the CONSOL, yesterday my friend Xanatos, call me, and we decided to come to consol early that we origilnally planned, (take the bus at wednesday nigth). So we arrived at 6:30am at the hotel, and after sleep a few minutes we went to have breakfast at samborns.

Then, we took the Metro, to come here. The place is full of geeks, and we are like fish on watter. You can see a picture

Also I am fixing my presentation that I'll give on friday 25. It is called: El rumbo de la tecnología en México: Las universidades o las empresas ?

Last saturday, we went to the warehouse of the Linux Cabal at Guadalajara, Jal. They are having meetings every week, and install fest. They contacted me via e-mail and phone and they offer to the GLO the space to have meetings and install fest. Bassically they told me that Linux CABAL is an open place for Open Source groups.
Kind of strange at first time, but once I have chance to look for more information I knew more about this organization. Richard Couture (the founder) use to have the warehouse for the Linux Cabal at San Francisco. And before that he founded The CoffeNet a place with free internet access with Linux, and main feed of Linux people.

We met Richard Couture, he is kind of weird, but he is a nice guy. The install fest and the meeting in general had high levels of geekingess 8-).
